The whole composition so completely convincing as a natural gemstone, so utterly resolved, it reads like the finest polished picture jasper or a piece of banded agate in the most beautiful, sophisticated, multi-tonal palette — like holding a piece of the most beautiful geological cross-section in the palm of your hand.
